What was the lowest passport fee?
Effective from the new year, some taxes and fees have been increased by the revaluation rate.
The Inheritance and Transfer Tax Law General Communiqué, Motor Vehicle Tax General Communiqué, Fees Law General Communiqué and Income Tax General Communiqué of the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance were published in today's duplicate issue of the Official Gazette.
The revaluation rate was 43.93 percent
Accordingly, the taxes, fees and other fixed amounts to be applied in 2025 were announced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. The revaluation rate for 2024 was realized as 43.93 percent and was announced in November with the Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué.
The lowest passport fee was 3,449 liras
Passport and driver's license fees also increased. The fee for passports with a term of 1 year will be 3,449.40 lira, for those with a term of 3 years it will be 8,000 lira and for those with a term of more than 3 years it will be 11,274 lira.
While the fee for a class A driver's license in 2025 was determined as 1,883.10 lira, this amount will be applied as 5,678.60 lira for class B driver's license fees.
The fee for phones brought by passengers increased from 31,692 lira to 45,614.20 lira.
The lump sum stamp duty amounts were also increased by 43.93 percent. In addition, the bookkeeping limits to be applied for the books to be kept in 2024 were also redetermined. Accordingly, taxpayers whose annual sales amount exceeds 2 million 800 thousand lira will keep their 2025 books according to the balance sheet principle.
The irregularity and special irregularity penalties were also updated. The penalty for not issuing invoices and receipts has been increased to 14 thousand liras for the first detection. As of 2025, the invoice issuance limit has been increased from 6 thousand 900 liras to 9 thousand 900 liras.
