Weekend crowd at Yurduntepe Ski Resort on Ilgaz Mountain

The weekend crowd is experienced at Yurduntepe Ski Resort on Ilgaz Mountain, one of the winter tourism centers.

Local and foreign visitors who came to the ski resort had a pleasant time skiing, snowboarding and sledding among the natural beauties of Ilgaz Mountain. Some citizens also danced the halay and played games on the snow.

A long vehicle queue formed at the facility, which hosts many ski enthusiasts from Ankara, Istanbul, Karabük, Çankırı, Samsun, Sinop, Zonguldak, Bartın, Çorum and Amasya, due to the weekend.

Yurduntepe Ski Resort Operations Manager Hakkı Kaya said that the crowd increased during the weekend.

Kaya, who stated that the intensity that started as of the New Year continues, said, "We expect the intensity to increase with the mid-term break. As of today, we have opened the second ski stage. Professional skiers can ski 6,500 meters on the track. While citizens can use the cable car for sightseeing purposes, skiers can use both stages. Sledging enthusiasts can spend a day full of activities by sledding, skiers can ski."
