Getting married in Türkiye: Legal requirements for foreigners
All marriages in Türkiye, including those of foreigners, must be conducted by the Turkish authorities, and carried out in accordance with the Turkish Civil Code and relevant regulations.
Single Status Certificate in Turkish (except for Apostille and multilingual documents), to be obtained from the consulate they are affiliated with, and approved by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Passports, which must be notarized together with their Turkish translation. If couples do not speak Turkish, they will have a certified translator during the application.
