Tourists explore Cappadocia from the sky with "microlight"
Local and foreign tourists coming to Cappadocia, one of the tourism centers famous for its fairy chimneys in Turkey, have the opportunity to explore the region from the air with "microlight (motorized light aircraft)".
In Cappadocia, which has various tourism activities such as fairy chimneys, rock-carved underground cities, historical sites and hot air balloon tours, flights have started with the aircraft "microlight" after the permissions received from the relevant institutions.
Tourists participating in the 20-minute flights organized by a company experience the excitement of discovering the fairy chimneys from the sky with a different experience.
Sultan Şen, the company's representative, said that they have brought a new tourism window to the region with the "microlight" tours.
Stating that they have received positive feedback from visitors, Şen said, "We are happy to bring a new and exciting activity to Cappadocia. We tour these unique and natural beauties of Cappadocia with our 'microlight'." The flight lasts 20 minutes
Pilot Serkan Şen also stated that the visitors flew in a two-person aircraft accompanied by a pilot.
Şen, who emphasized that the flights had just started in the Cappadocia region, stated that they had officially introduced these aircraft to the region.
Pilot Mehmet Nuri Şen explained that they made "microlight" flights in addition to the commercial balloon flights in the region.
Şen, who stated that they could fly throughout the day, noted the following:
"After taking off from the Paşabağı region, we visit Çavuşini, Aşk Vadisi, Kızılçukur Vadisi, Göreme, Ortahisar, Üç Güzeller and Devrent and then return. We show a tourist the places they would not be able to visit throughout the day in a 20-minute flight. 'Microlight' is a more enjoyable and adrenaline-filled aircraft rather than a stable flight. We receive positive feedback from the passengers. We offer the opportunity to see the beauties of our unique region from the sky."
"I was like a bird up there"
One of the visitors, Hülya Poyraz, also said that the "microlight" flight was quite exciting.
Stating that it was very enjoyable to watch Cappadocia from the sky, Poyraz continued as follows: "I cannot tell you about this experience. It is wonderful to fly with the 'microlight' that brought a new breath to Cappadocia. I flew with the pilot Mehmet Nuri Şen. The pilot's control of those fast winds we got in the air was definitely worth seeing. I recommend it to everyone. I was like a bird up there. Seeing Cappadocia from above and feeling so free is definitely a very different feeling. We flew at serious altitudes over Devrent, Paşabağ, Çavuşini and all of the certain points and it was wonderful."
