Tourist guide conference held

The conference held at NEVÜ addressed the tourist guide profession and ways to achieve success in the sector.

A conference titled "Becoming a Tourist Guide" was held in collaboration with Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ) Tourism Faculty and Cappadocia Culture Club. The event was held at NEVÜ Vali Şinasi Kuş Culture and Congress Center.

The conference was attended by Tourism Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Şahin Perçin, university staff and students. Researcher-Author and Professional Tourist Guide Turgay Tuna was the speaker of the event.

The guiding profession was discussed

The conference discussed basic information about the tourist guide profession, the qualifications required for the profession and the difficulties encountered in the sector. Tuna shared his professional experiences and his views on the current status of the guiding profession with the participants. He also answered the participants' questions.

At the end of the event, Tourism Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Şahin Perçin presented a certificate of appreciation to speaker Turgay Tuna. The conference created an information sharing platform for participants interested in the guiding profession. NEVÜ stated that such events for the tourism sector will continue.
