Families who came to the center, where the snow thickness was measured as 128 centimeters, skied, snowboarded and sledding with their children.

Zeynep Erümit, who came from Kocaeli with her friends, told AA correspondent that they had a great time at the ski resort and said, "Erzurum has the most beautiful slopes in Turkey. I brought my friends from İzmit. We are vacationing here. We entered the new year by traveling for kilometers and having a ski vacation in Erzurum." He said.

Sedat Demir also said that he came to Erzurum for the first time and said, "They were talking about this place but I didn't expect it to be this beautiful. We have been here for about 10 days, we were waiting for the New Year. The atmosphere is incredible. I definitely recommend everyone to do this."

Latif Macit, who sledded with his children, stated that he wanted to use the official holiday with his children and that they had a pleasant time as a family.

Sarıkamış Ski Center

In Sarıkamış Ski Center in Kars, which hosts many local and foreign tourists every year with its Sarıkamış pine forests, crystal snow and long ski slopes, the snow thickness reached 40 centimeters in some places.

Ski enthusiasts skied and snowboarded in the sunny weather, and some families sledded with their children.

Nida Aşçı, one of the citizens, said that she enjoyed skiing on the first day of the year.

Aşçı, who also mentioned that she visited the beauties of the city, said, "We have a ski resort with the most beautiful slopes and instructors in the world, with crystal snow, we are waiting for everyone." Ski instructor Murat Cimşit stated that all conditions are suitable for skiing in Sarıkamış and said, "We opened our ski resort. The tracks, the quality of the snow, everything is very nice. Our tourists are slowly coming."
