The future of Alanya was discussed

In a meeting with broad participation held in Alanya, issues such as transportation, infrastructure and coastal arrangements were discussed and solution proposals were discussed.

Alanya's pending problems were discussed in a meeting with broad participation. Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer, Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, political party representatives, civil society organizations, tourism sector representatives and many participants from the business world attended the meeting held at the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO).

ALTSO President Eray Erdem, who made the opening speech of the meeting, stated that they wanted to discuss solution methods by prioritizing the interests of the city. Erdem said, “This meeting is not aimed at accusations, but at producing solutions. We came together to address the accumulated problems of our city and solution proposals for these problems.” Transportation, infrastructure, urban aesthetics, parking problems, zoning studies and tourism development were among the main topics discussed. In addition, the arrangement of the coasts and the effects of the new immigration law were also on the agenda. Speaking at the meeting, Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer drew attention to the issues of order and security in the city. Ürkmezer said, “Our fight against illegal construction and regulations that are against the rules will continue. We aim to establish an order where both our people and tourists can spend time in better conditions. In particular, the arrangement of beaches open to the public is our top priority.” He also stated that pricing, sunbed and umbrella arrangements on the beaches will be improved through joint efforts with the Alanya Touristic Business Owners Association (ALTİD). Alanya took a strong step towards solving the problems with this meeting. Authorities stated that the decisions taken will be implemented quickly.
