Record number of tourists visiting Egypt

Egypt has broken a new record by hosting 15.7 million tourists in 2024.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Medbouli announced at a press conference that the country has broken a new record by hosting 15.7 million tourists in 2024.

Medbouli announced that their target for 2025 is 18 million tourists.

While the number of tourists visiting Egypt exceeded 13 million in 2019, it had dropped to 3 million due to the pandemic. After the pandemic, Egyptian tourism entered a recovery period and broke a new record by hosting 14.9 million tourists in 2023.
