Radisson Hotel Group announces more than 130 new hotel openings and deals in the first half of the year

Radisson Hotel Group announced that it has announced more than 130 new hotel openings and deals in the first six months of 2024.

According to the company, Radisson Hotel Group’s growth was particularly concentrated in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC).

The Group has entered many new markets with its Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu and Radisson RED brands, while also signing approximately 20 new Radisson Blu hotel deals. The expansion of the Radisson RED brand into new markets such as Ireland, New Zealand, Thailand and Laos brings its global portfolio to 90 hotels.

In the EMEA region, the group has strengthened its presence in Saudi Arabia with the signing of the first Radisson Collection deal in Paris near the Louvre Museum and the Radisson Collection Hotel, Roma Antica near the Pantheon in Rome. The property, which is scheduled to open later this year, will be the 10th in Riyadh and the 46th in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Radisson Hotel Group signed deals for around 20 new Radisson Blu hotels in the first six months of the year. In addition to Montenegro, Italy, Tunisia and Tanzania, the group added the Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel in Vienna to its portfolio.

The Radisson Individuals brand was also launched in France’s Cote d’Azur region during this period, and new hotel deals were signed in Folkestone and Surrey in the UK. The group also opened the art’otel London Hoxton in London. The hotel, which combines art and lifestyle as a result of the collaboration with PPHE Hotel Group, exhibits the works of artist DFace.

Radisson Hotel Group adds more than 5,000 rooms to its capacity

Radisson Hotel Group, which accelerated its growth in the APAC region with new openings in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu in China, added more than 5,000 rooms to its capacity. The Group also strengthened its presence by signing new agreements in Southeast Asian markets such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Laos.

India continues to be a strategic region for Radisson Hotel Group, with approximately 25 hotel agreements and openings in this region. These openings include India's first Cricket Stadium Hotel and the Radisson Collection in Udaipur.

Radisson Hotel Group expanded its luxury resort portfolio with new hotel agreements and openings in Sardinia, Poland, Montenegro, Indonesia, Vietnam and India during the January-June period.

The group won the ‘Hospitality App of the Year’ award at the Hospitality Leaders Awards in the Middle East, while the Radisson Blu Grand Travel Awards named it ‘Best Hotel Chain in Sweden’.
