Martı Hotels & Marinas enters the season by further strengthening its management

In addition to Handan Boyce assuming the position of General Manager at Martı Hotels & Marinas, the leading brand of the Turkish tourism sector preparing for the new season, two more appointments were made.

Volkan Vural, who has held management positions at various brands in the tourism sector, was appointed as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) responsible for the operations of the hotels within Martı Hotels & Marinas. Murat Kodan, a successful name in the sector, was appointed as the General Manager of the group's popular holiday destinations in Muğla Marmaris, Martı Resort and La Perla Hotel.

Turkey's long-established tourism brand Martı Hotels & Marinas has further strengthened its management before the tourism season. Martı Hotels & Marinas, where Handan Boyce, one of the prominent names in the sector, was recently appointed as General Manager, has added two more experienced managers to its staff. Volkan Vural, who has held management positions at various brands with his 24 years of experience in the tourism sector, has been appointed as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) at Martı Hotels & Marinas. Vural will be responsible for the operations of all hotels within Martı Hotels & Marinas.

Continuing its preparations for the upcoming tourism season at full speed, another appointment was made to Martı Resort and La Perla Hotel at Martı Hotels & Marinas. Murat Kodan, a successful name in the sector, was appointed as the General Manager of Martı Resort and La Perla Hotel, which offer distinguished holiday opportunities in İçmeler, Marmaris, one of Turkey's unique tourism centers. Kodan, who has left behind 39 years in his career that he started as an intern in the tourism sector, has signed many award-winning works in the brands he has worked for so far.

About Volkan Vural:

Volkan Vural, who graduated from Adnan Menderes University, Department of Tourism & Hotel Management, started his career in the tourism sector in 1999 with Dedeman Hotels & Resorts International. Vural, who assumed various roles here for 4 years, worked in different management positions in the group's hotels abroad (Moldova, Northern Cyprus and Uzbekistan) between 2003-2007.

Volkan Vural, who worked as the Operations Manager at the Intercontinental Almaty Hotel Kazakhstan in Kazakhstan between 2007-2008, returned to the Dedeman Group in 2008 and served as the General Manager at Hotel Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent and Double Tree by Hilton Istanbul Old Town for 4 years.

Volkan Vural, who spent the 7-year period of his career in the Radisson Blu Family between 2013-2020, served as the General Manager at Radisson Blu Al Mahary Hotel Libya, Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton, Radisson Blu Sandton & Park Inn Sandton by Radisson-Cluster, Radisson Blu Sandton and Radisson Blu Maputo Hotel & Residence, respectively.

Volkan Vural, who has been working successfully as a founding partner at VS Strategy since July 2020, will now serve as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) responsible for the operations of the hotels within Martı Hotels & Marinas.

Murat Kodan, who graduated from 9 Eylül University, Department of Tourism, has served as General Manager in various facilities in Turkey and abroad during his 39-year career. In the last 13 years of his career, he served as General Manager in Ela Quality Resort in Antalya, Gardens of Babylon Suite Hotel & Residences in Bodrum, Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli in Libya, Rixos Krasnaya Polyana Sochi in Russia, Duja Bodrum in Bodrum and Marmaris Bay Resort in Marmaris.

He crowned his successes with the team he led in the facilities he worked in during his management period with 6th place and (1st place in the Mediterranean Region) in HolidayCheck’s ‘2010 Ela Quality Resort- The World’s Top 99 Hotels’ ranking and ‘Luxury Life’ awards in the ‘2014 Rixos Krasnaya Polyana- Luxury Hotel of Russia’ evaluation. Murat Kodan aims to achieve new successes at Martı Resort and La Perla Hotel facilities, where he started working as General Manager.
