Korčula Tourism in 2024 3% Better Than in 2023

The beautiful Dalmatian island of Korčula saw a 3% increase when it came to tourism in 2024 when compared to 2023.

As Morski writes, an impressive 183,273 tourists visited the island of Korčula last year, representing an increase of about three percent compared to 2023. In that very same period, tourist traffic of 1,038,128 overnight stays on the island was recorded, which also represents an increase of three percent.

The highest number guests visited the area of ​​the city administration of Korčula Town itself, and there was a total of 104,000 of them. That was followed by Vela Luka with 29,363 visits, then Blato which was visited by 23,311 guests, Lumbarda by 19,311 and Smokvica by a total of 7,461 tourists. The increase in the number of overnight stays realised was achieved in Korčula Town, leading by 4.25 percent, followed by Vela Luka with 3.2 percent, then by Blato at the same level as last year. The same was recorded in both Lumbarda and Smokvica.

Korčula tourism for the year 2024 therefore exceeded 2023’s figures, even if only slightly. Owing to that, those working in tourism on Marko Polo’s alleged island home appear satisfied with the results. That’s especially the case with the results garnered in family accommodation, according to Radio Dubrovnik.
