Dupnisa Cave, which is the only cave in Thrace open to tourism and home to thousands of bats, was visited by 70,389 people last year.

Dupnisa Cave, which is located in Sarpdere village of Demirköy district of Kırklareli and was opened to tourism in 2003 with the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Provincial Special Administration, is home to a large number of bats.

The entrance section of the gallery, which consists of two interconnected floors and three sections, is open to tourism all year round, while the dry cave is closed to visitors for 6 months each year for the bats to reproduce.

The cave, which was visited by 70,389 people last year, draws attention with its stalactites and columns.

An increase in the number of visitors to the cave, which offers a cool environment, is observed in July and August when air temperatures rise.
