Airlines suspending flights to Russia!
Following the suspicious crash of a passenger plane from Baku to Grozny, airlines have decided to suspend their flights to Russia one after another.
Airlines from Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to suspend some of their flights to Russia.
This decision was made after a passenger plane from Baku to Grozny crashed on December 25.
At the end of December, three foreign airlines restricted their flights to or from Russia.
Azerbaijan Airlines
Flights from Baku to Grozny, Makhachkala, Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Vladikavkaz, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov, Ufa and Volgograd have been suspended.
The Azerbaijan State Agency for Civil Aviation made this decision due to flight safety risks. It was not specified when the flights would resume.
On December 25, a plane flying from Baku to Grozny failed to land twice due to bad weather conditions. The accident killed 38 people.
Qazaq Air
Astana-Ekaterinburg flights were suspended from December 28, 2024 to January 27, 2025.
Flights from Astana to Omsk and Novosibirsk will continue.
Passengers of canceled flights will be refunded or their tickets will be changed to other flights free of charge.
FlyDubai
Sochi-Dubai and Mineralnye Vody-Dubai flights were canceled from December 28 to January 5.
The company stated that it is working on additional seat allocations for other flights and that passengers will be directed to different airlines.
These decisions were implemented within the framework of security measures following the plane crash. Passengers will be able to benefit from alternative options or get their ticket fees back.
